Saskatchewan Environmental Society (SES) is Green Communities Canada’s newest member organization.

SES has been working on environmental issues in Saskatchewan for the past 50 years. Formed as a local Saskatoon, volunteer-run organization, SES has grown into a province-wide entity involved in a wide range of issues including sustainable agriculture and forestry, renewable energy, water protection, and wild spaces and habitat preservation.

“I’m excited to welcome SES,” says GCC Executive Director Brianna Salmon. “We’re currently working with them on a depave project and I’m looking forward to exploring other ways we can collaborate going forward.”

“SES is very keen to do the first depave in Saskatchewan – I think a tangible project that the community can actively get involved in, that supports good water flow and increases green spaces, will be a balm to local citizens,” says SES Executive Director Allyson Brady.
