2024 Living Cities Canada Fund Impact Report
Green Communities Canada is proud to launch the 2024 Living Cities Canada Fund Impact Report!
Over the past year, the Fund has supported 40+ on-the-ground projects and distributed over $600,000 to frontline community organizations, empowering local leaders to create new green infrastructure.
With 31 partner organizations, these projects have strengthened climate resilience, reduced flood risks, lowered air temperatures, and enhanced biodiversity—especially in equity-deserving communities across Canada.
2025 Recommendations: Accelerating the Transition to Electric School Buses in Canada
Canada’s push for 100% electric school buses (ESBs) by 2040 is progressing—but not fast enough. As a co-coordinator of the Canadian Electric School Bus Alliance (CESBA) alongside Équiterre, Green Communities Canada is proud to present the 2025 Recommendations Report, which highlights school bus electrification in Canada to date, addresses current challenges hindering the transition and proposes concrete solutions to enable widespread adoption of electric school buses.
