In 2025, the Living Cities Canada Fund supported 60+ on-the-ground projects and transformed over 33,000 square metres of urban land, empowering local leaders to create new green infrastructure.

With 38 partner organizations, these projects have strengthened climate resilience, reduced flood risks, lowered air temperatures, and enhanced biodiversity—especially in equity-deserving communities across Canada.

The Living Cities Canada Fund provides training, funding, and logistical support to municipalities, non-profits, conservation authorities, and First Nations governments, ensuring urban green infrastructure is implemented where it’s needed most.
