Cindy Toth, a tireless advocate for environmental sustainability, received the Green Community Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 Green Communities Awards ceremony. Currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Halton Environmental Network’s Board of Directors, Cindy had developed and championed crucial environmental policies during her 30+ years of municipal public service in Oakville, ON, including Oakville’s first Climate Change Strategy.

The Rideau Environmental Action League, a long standing GCC member organization celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, took home Member of the Year honours.

The Green Community Awards celebrate excellence in the GCC national network. Award winners receive an electronic certificate and bragging rights for the year.
