Year: 2025 - 2027

Two year-long School Streets are planned in Vancouver, British Columbia, as part of the National Active School Streets Initiative (NASSI). The first is at Lord Selkirk Elementary School during the 2025-26 school year, and the second is at Hastings Elementary School during the 2026-27 school year. These School Streets are led by the City of Vancouver.

Running from 2024 to 2027, NASSI addresses a lack of physical activity in children by improving road safety conditions surrounding schools and increasing rates of active school travel and independent play.
