At Palermo Public School in Oakville, Ontario, a schoolyard greening initiative created a more resilient and vibrant outdoor space. In partnership with the Halton Environmental Network and supported by the Waltons Trust, 234 volunteers depaved 333 square metres. They also planted 9 trees and 178 plants and shrubs, helping divert approximately 3,539 cubic metres of stormwater.
