At Cannon St. in Hamilton, Ontario, a community-led greening initiative helped transform the site with expanded planting and improved stormwater management. In partnership with Green Venture and supported by the Waltons Trust and Green Communities Foundation, 96 volunteers depaved 93 square metres, planted 7 trees and 530 plants and shrubs, and helped divert approximately 91 cubic metres of stormwater.
