GCC welcomes two new staff members to the team.
Christine Mettler (pictured left) joins the Water Department as Project Manager for the Living Cities Canada: Green For All project. Christine has more than a decade of experience in the environmental sector, with a focus on protecting freshwater and promoting green infrastructure. She is skilled at policy analysis and advocacy, campaigning, digital communications, community organizing, project management, writing and research. She joins GCC after five years with the non-profit initiative Canadian Freshwater Alliance. Christine is excited to continue the important work of greening our cities and towns with GCC. Sabat Ismail, School Travel Planner in our Transportation Department (pictured right), hit the ground running in the lead up to the new school year. Sabat has several years of experience supporting active transportation with various non-profits and municipalities. In addition to being an urban planner, she’s also an artist and avid cyclist.
