The Pathways to Living Cities Framework was created to help green infrastructure practitioners learn from real-world examples and apply proven strategies in their own communities. Showcasing best practices, resources, and case studies from across North America and Europe, the Framework outlines key strategies that have helped cities to accelerate more abundant, equitable, and thriving green infrastructure. The Framework also highlights the importance of working in partnership with the community and industry in order to implement green infrastructure on public and private lands.

Download the Framework and explore proven strategies for creating greener, more resilient communities.

To help put the Framework into action, we created Mobilize Your Living City, a free, self-paced online course designed to guide community groups, municipalities, and non-profits through the process of developing a local green infrastructure policy pathway. Based directly on the Pathways to Living Cities Framework, this training provides practical knowledge, strategies, and step-by-step guidance to embed nature-based solutions into local planning and decision-making.
