Green Communities Canada has been a leading organization promoting improved data collection practices for school travel, coordinating data collection efforts through Ontario Active School Travel and School Travel Planning programs. 

With funding from Infrastructure Canada’s National Active Transportation Fund, Green Communities Canada is leading Provincial Student Travel Data Collection Pilots in Ontario and British Columbia during the week of October 16-20, 2023. The pilots include hands-up classroom surveys and household travel surveys.
