Green Communities Canada granted $400,000 to lead the provincial expansion of the National Active School Streets Initiative in B.C.

Children riding scooters in a sectioned off area of the street.The Government of British Columbia’s Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure granted Green Communities Canada $400,000 to lead a provincial expansion of the National Active School Streets Initiative. The expansion will be conducted in partnership with the Society for Children and Youth of BC. Between 2025 and 2028, up to 10 communities in British Columbia will receive funding to implement School Streets projects.
