Enbridge’s Free Home Winterproofing Program
Home is where warmth is. But winter can become a challenge for people who live in old homes that are prone to cold drafts and insulation issues. Enbridge’s Free Home Winterproofing Program is designed to help low-income households reduce energy costs by keeping their home warm and insulated.
Households qualifying for this program can receive the following installed for free by experienced professionals:
- Attic, wall and basement insulation
- Draft Proofing
- Smart Thermostat
Home Winterproofing is free-of-charge for eligible homes. To be eligible, you must meet all the criteria listed below.
- Your home is heated by natural gas
- You are a customer of Enbridge Gas
- You pay your own natural gas bill
- Your home was built before 1980
- Your household is income eligible – see below
There are two ways in which you can be income-eligible for the free Home Winterproofing Program.
