About Our Members
Our members are non-profit organizations that deliver environmental programs and services with measurable results. They focus on household and community action.
Green Community members work for:
- sustainable resource use
- clean air, water, soil
- healthy ecosystems
Green Communities are community-based - each with their own programs, partnerships, boards, and staff. They are a growing nation-wide movement - we have 40 member organizations in all regions of the country.

- How we do it. We use community-based social marketing - a practical approach that reaches people where they live.

Partners make it all possible. They contribute funding, marketing support, professional services, materials, and equipment. They include municipalities, utilities, community organizations, businesses, media, foundations, federal, provincial and territorial governments, faith groups, schools and post-secondary institutions, First Nations and others. For more about our partners, see Green Communities joint programs, and How to Grow a Green Community.
