Green Communities Canada (GCC) is pleased to announce that Round 3 of the Ontario Active School Travel Fund is now open for applications from communities across the province.
The objective of the Fund is to increase active school travel (AST) opportunities for elementary students in Ontario to better prepare them for learning and to improve safety in school zones.
Up to $60,000 in funding is available for partnership-based projects that strengthen and expand existing AST initiatives or help launch new ones.

The deadline for applications is 20 November 2020.
This latest round of the OAST Fund is possible thanks to renewed financial support from the Government of Ontario. GCC is receiving $1.5 million from the Ontario Ministry of Education’s Priorities & Partnerships Fund to continue providing province-wide support for AST through to March 2022.
